About Me
Hi, I'm Julia — a native Oregonian with a complicated relationship with rain. I manage it by spending as much time as possible chasing sun: Argentina, Costa Rica, New Zealand, and honestly anywhere with a forecast I can get behind.
When I’m home in Portland, you’ll find me treasure-hunting at estate sales, sweating it out at barre class, or working on my tennis game (enthusiastic amateur here). I read constantly, listen to podcasts probably more than is reasonable, and have a well-earned reputation for steering any dinner conversation toward psychology, human behavior, or the big questions — the kind that don't have clean answers but are hard to stop thinking about.
That last part isn't accidental. I've been genuinely fascinated by questions about how people live — what lights them up, what holds them back, what it actually means to build a life that feels like yours — since I was old enough to start asking them. It's a big part of why I do this work.
The people I work with are driven, capable, and used to succeeding — and yet there's this persistent gap between how their life looks and how it feels. They're trapped by external expectations, the chase for the next best thing, and the habit of putting their own needs last. The accomplishments accumulate and the unease doesn't lift. And somewhere along the way, their own sense of what they actually want got buried under what they're supposed to want.
When your self-approval is contingent on operating at 100%, every setback becomes a crisis of identity. I've felt the sting of doing everything right and still not feeling happy, settled, or confident in myself.
If you're tired of your confidence depending entirely on your last performance — you're in the right place.
Ready to get clear on what actually lights you up — instead of just getting better at going through the motions?
